Corporate Fitness Training: Requested one-on-one fitness training or group training. This service is particularly effective when your company has an in-house facility that is conducive for basic weight and cardiovascular training. Such a facility is conducive both for the client/employee and the fitness professional, because equipment is readily available and co-workers are able to form friendships that create a positive work environment that pays off with a greater morale and increased productivity. We are aware of the cost of this option, but are convinced that the long term benefits will far outweigh the expenditures.
Individual Training: This is a viable option for employees seeking one-one-attention in a personal training format. Ideal times to consider this option include when the employer is unwilling or unable to provide company time or compensation for the exercise session and the employee wishes to engage in exercise independently.
Health and Fitness Seminars: We at L.L.Fitness are committed to improving the well-being of your company. We believe that a true “fitness” lifestyle can only be achieved when a holistic vision of health is realized. It should be noted that good health is more than running two or three times a week or lifting weights on the weekends. Good health entails not only good habits but good knowledge that can serve to protect oneself against faddish trends, diets, and weight lifting programs that are sure to be detrimental to long term health.
L.L.Fitness features speakers and seminars to increase the health awareness of your employees. Examples of topics include but are not limited to: how fitness influences the prevalence of morbidities such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, mental function and so forth. Speakers are usually equipped with a PowerPoint presentation that puts complex topics into the lay mans term. Time is allotted for the attendees to ask questions and interact with the speaker. We assure you that these topics will be thoroughly researched and presented in a way that your employees will come away will a renewed sense of determination to change old habits that will be reflected in the workplace.
Periodized Fitness Planning: You may be asking yourself what “periodized” means. Weight training is very specific to the demands that it places on the body. For example if a person is only lifting approximately 50% of his or her maximal ability on a squat or a bench press for about 15-20 repetitions then the muscle is going to receive adaptations that are specific to muscular endurance characterized by the muscles ability to withstand repeated sub-maximal repetitions. Alternatively, if the lifter is lifting 85% of his or hers one rep max in the 8-12 rep range, the muscle is going to be more inclined to hypertrophy (or get bigger). L.L.Fitness is committed to helping people with different wants and needs ranging from general fitness to sport specific training. The fitness program will be tailored to the employee’s realistic wants, needs and desires. Examples of periodized programs include the following:
(a) Foundational Training: This is for those who may be physically active but have not otherwise participated in fitness training including cardiovascular and resistance training modes of exercise. Just as a house needs a study foundation to be built upon, so does your body as it will be called to do many physical tasks as you endeavor in your fitness aspirations. Foundational fitness programs include the four realms of true fitness: Cardiovascular health, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition emphasis. These programs target the strengthening muscles, tendons, ligaments, aerobic capacity, and proper flexibility, so that the participant is not limited in the future as to what he or she would like to participate in physically. Rest assured that these programs are designed for anybody lay a proper physiological foundation for a future of fitness enjoyment.
(b) Muscle Building Phase (Hypertrophy): This phase of training follows the foundational phase. Those who already have a proper foundation of fitness (as determined by the trainer) will have the luxury of skipping the foundational phase and indulging the muscle building phase. This phase is aimed at further increasing the size of the muscles and increasing the aforementioned factors such as tendon, ligament, and bone strengthening. This program is based on the clients one rep max values when testing is safe and appropriate for the client.
(c)Strength Training Phase: Once the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones have been strengthened, it becomes appropriate to expose the body to much heavier weight values that will necessitate and facilitate further increases in maximal tensile contractility (strength) in the muscle. This phase is extremely demanding but very rewarding for those willing to give maximal effort. This phase is an excellent “plateau” breaker and is based on each clients one rep max values when testing is safe and appropriate for the client.
(d) Fat-cutting (cuts) Phase: This phase of training is appropriate only for those who have achieved foundational training and have been engaged in other methods of training (i.e. hypertrophy) for at least a year and are deemed “able” by the trainer. This phase is focused on maximum fat-burning and is based on cardiovascular and reduced calorie-intake methods. In other words the client will be involved with a high volume of cardiovascular exercise, reduced calories as compared with normal standards, and increased reps in the weight room. This phase is not for everybody as it is extremely hard and mentally taxing. This phase can be easily tailored (nutritiously or otherwise) to fit the needs of endurance athletes. In general, this is a great way to lose those last unwanted pounds through hard work that leaves you with a body that is easy to be proud of.
(e) Sport Specific Training: We are aware that exercise sometimes extends beyond the normal realms of health-related fitness. For this reason L.L.Fitness has qualified and experienced trainers willing and able to compose sport specific fitness programs to enhance sports performance regardless of the sport category. We urge athletes, competitors or those with a sports related hobby, to increase their output by utilizing this option.
Individual Nutrition Plans: If fitness is going to be a life long pursuit, one needs to realize that true fitness is contingent on proper nutrition that is customized to the individual. Our trainers are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the benefits that a proper nutrition program can lend to a fitness objective. Therefore at L.L.Fitness we offer comprehensive nutrition counseling that is personalized to individual needs that makes everybody unique. Our trainers will educate your employees about time honored nutrition principles that are sure to keep them weary of fad diets that ultimately result in the defeat of life long health and fitness. Let us show you how the complex science of good nutrition can work for you in a simple, enjoyable, and sustainable way.
Group Nutrition Plans: At times it becomes preferable for a group seminar and presentation of sound nutrition principles. Ideal times include when company time is limited and efficiency if of the utmost importance. We at L.L.Fitness know that time is important and would like to help you in your quest to employ healthy employees that are energized, resilient, and ready to work. We firmly believe that the application of sound nutrition principles can help you in this endeavor. We are committed to quality group presentations that are sure to inspire good eating habits that lead to increased energy levels and production. It has been estimated that diet alone can be responsible for decreased motivation and energy levels. We will show in group format how simple changes in nutrition can make this difference that is so important for holistic health. Body Composition Analysis: Body composition is defined simplistically as the ratio of fat to fat-free mass that composes the human body. Certain norms delineating body fat percentages have been established that differentiate between normal, overweight, and obese categories. Employees utilizing this option issued by L.L. Fitness will receive pre and post evaluations of body composition. Methods such as skin folds, circumference measuring and bioelectrical impedance will be used to asses body composition. It should be noted that the current gold standard of body composition testing is bestowed upon hydrostatic weighing. Although clients may wish to seek this modality independently, L.L.Fitness does not carry this method of testing at this time.
Packages
Life Long Fitness is aware that people differ in interest levels, fitness levels, income levels and so forth. We therefore have constructed our Basic, Bronze, Silver, and Gold level services. It is recommended that the company pay for the basic price per month of $500.00 and then the employee is left to decide whether to purchase the Bronze, Silver, or Gold level service to suit his or her needs. With each succeeding level of service comes more personalized attention to the employee and their likelihood of succeeding. We have found that many employees start with the Bronze and slowly advance to the Gold level when they become more advanced. Corporate Packages
