NEW FOR 2024 - SEMIPRIVATE TRAINING

At the time of this writing is it the year 2021 and I took the liberty to do an internet search for the phrase “lose weight quickly”.

What did I find?

I think you probably already have a pretty good idea right?

Here is a small sample of what I found:

-Weight loss pills that guarantee 2-3 lbs of “fat loss” per week with NO dietary modification

-Juice cleanses (too many to list)

-Diet, after diet, after diet….

-Hypnotism for weight loss

-Fat “wraps”

-Boot camps

And the list goes on an on…

Time For a Reality Check

So the question is this…will ANY of those aforementioned methods keep you healthy and fit for the long term?

We have a problem in the western world.

What problem you ask?

We have the problem of entitlement. I know that is a hard pill to swallow but it is true. We are so used to quick fix solutions with technology, medicine, business and other area’s of life that when it comes to our health and fitness we subconsciously expect the same thing.

So let’s get real for a moment and dive into why lifestyle change is your only real solution for any hope of lasting change.

3 Reasons Lifestyle Is The ONLY Way To Lasting Health & Fitness

Reason #1: Lifestyle change is HABIT based.

Did you know that 96-98% of all human behavior stems from your subconscious mind? This means that you are not consciously thinking about what you are doing. This is a very good thing for us human beings in certain ways but very destructive in others. It is good because it allows us to preserve energy and not have to think about things that ensure our survival such as eating and communicating with other human beings.

But it really sucks when you are living in the 21st Century and you get loaded with some really bad eating and exercise habits. Say for example you get into the habit of eating primarily processed foods and not exercising because work stresses you out to much. Because they habits become mentally engrained you continually act them out day after day.

When it comes time to make a change to these mental habits it is very hard to do so because they have become your default mode.

But this is the very reason that lifestyle change is the ONLY way to make long term change, because if these subconscious habits are not replaced you will continue to repeat them over and over again. Take a look at that list again and ask yourself honestly, if any of those methods will last long term? Are you going to take a pill for the rest of your life? How about the fat wrap?

The simple fact of the matter is that when you commit to changing your lifestyle you commit to rewriting the subconscious programming that is sabotaging you. Take it one day at a time until it becomes your new normal.

Reason#2: Lifestyle Change is Hard

I know that this fact is not the greatest selling point but it is true nonetheless.

Lemme just shoot straight right now…lifestyle change SUCKS at first! It is not fun to have to become consciously aware of your old habits and then have to behave in the opposite manner. In fact it is quite painful.

That’s that bad news, but the good news is that once you get through the painful part of the journey it becomes quite easy because you have established a new habit that just feels like second nature to you!

And the best news? Your new habit is likely to stick around for the rest of your life and continue giving you awesome results unless you completely abandon it and fall back into old ways.

Reason #3: Lifestyle Change Changes Your Personal Identity

Neuroscience tells us that when we establish subconscious habits we literally start to identify with them. In other words we begin to label ourselves. For example.

“I don’t have time to workout”

“I don’t have will power”

“I hate exercise”

All of those are simply nothing more than labels but yet they become our personal “truths”. The beauty about making a lifestyle change is that you shed the old labels and you upgrade them with new empowering labels that might look like the following.

“I make time for exercise because it is a top priority for me”

“I am full of will power”

“I love how exercise makes me feel”

Which Path Will You Take?

The choice is yours. You can take that path of “quick fix” which in reality is the path to nowhere or you can look reality squarely in the face and decide that you will have to experience a little pain up front in order to experience long-lasting results as your payoff.
